The following guarantee is valid as of January 1rst, 2015.
It is the only valid guarantee FENBEC applies to it’s components and fenestration products. The parties recognize that the only valid guarantee is this written guarantee, and that no representative, salesman or agent may change the following. Therefore, no amendments or guarantee limitations will be receivable as proof in court, in any case.
FENBEC will replace , repair or exchange products or original components included in this guarantee for the time stipulated in this guarantee. The products' lifetime is considered 20 years. The client will be responsible, if so is the case, for any labor fees or any other fees. The guarantee will be applied to the products or components replaced or repaired for the time remaining to said guarantee.
FENBEC applies guarantee with initial worth of products at time of purchase. FENBEC is not responsible for any damage caused by a product or component covered by this guarantee. Moreover, FENBEC is not responsible for delays caused by situations out of FENBEC’s control that may affect the application of this guarantee.
FENBEC guarantees all FENBEC products for the products' lifetime against manufacturing defects and material defects according to the following conditions. This guarantee includes the hardware, the thermo, the PVC and the aluminum. FENBEC does not guarantee installation by a third party, be it by approved professionals or not. Please refer to your supplier for any installation problems.
The FENBEC guarantee is valid only if the product was used for the purpose for which it was conceived and used in a normal and non abusive manner.
FENBEC does not guarantee glass breakage or the general appearance of the products. The client is responsible for the inspection of the received products before accepting the delivery. Manufaturing defects must be declared within 24 hrs for the product to be replaced.
The sealed unit is guaranteed for the product's lifetime against unsealing. For unsealing to occur, the sealed unit must present visible obstruction of the thermo, that is to say fog or dust between the window panes. Condensation outside the thermo is due to the humidity level of the air inside your dwelling. Please refer to the ‘Maintenance’ section for details. Please note thermos sold separately are not covered by this guarantee.
PVC AND ALUMINUM
The PVC and aluminum is guaranteed for the product's lifetime against rotting, rusting, cracking, deformation, corrosion and uneven decoloration if the product is used and stored in normal and non abusive conditions. Progressive decoloration, chalking, stain accumulation and dirt on the surface are not covered by this guarantee.
HARDWARE
This guarantee does not apply after the use of solvants on the hardware, exposure to salt air or exposure to high humidity levels having caused corrosion. Normal use and forced entry are not covered by FENBEC guarantee.
The present guarantee is rendered invalid if a defect is caused by an accident, abusive use, any kind of modification of the product, an unsealing caused by exterior forces, inadequate installation, inadequate storage, maintenance, or any other cause unrelated to the quality of the materials.
Thermal breakage is guaranteed for 18 months. Glass must not show any evidence of a point of impact.
This guarantee is valid beginning on the date of the delivery. Proof of purchase (Guarantee certificate or original bill) mentionning the bill number must be provided must be provided, otherwise the present guarantee will not be applied.
Our products must be installed in a residential dwelling only, according to norm, otherwise this guarantee is invalid.
All other components ( screens, joints, grilles, weatherstripping, constant force springs, etc.) are guaranteed 12 months after delivery date.
Screens are not made to ensure security or keep individuals inside or outside a dwelling.
TRANSPORTATION, LABOR AND REPLACEMENT PARTS FEES
For any service call not related to the installation fees, transportation fees, labor fees and fees for replacement parts may apply.
